Thai Yoga Bodywork (Call/Email to schedule) - Likened to being moved through a yoga class rather than practicing on your own. The practitioner incorporates Tai Chi movement, rhythmic palpation & massage with her hands, feet, arms & legs to guide the recipient through various positions, creating a healing energy around the body, increased joint mobility, flexibility, improved circulation & the release of muscular & emotional tension.
Yoga For Golfers (Call/Email to schedule)
- Make Yoga for Golfers part of your cross training regime. As outlined in a recent article published in the Yoga Journal (http://www.yogajournal.com/lifestyle/194 ) golf is both a physical & mental game that many try but few will master before getting frustrated & giving up entirely. It’s not a simple game, but by integrating specific yoga postures, breathing & relaxation techniques, you can achieve an improved range of motion, translating into greater distance, accuracy & overall stamina, as well as an increase in your focus, sense of balance & composure on any golf course you play. The techniques & sequenced presentation of Yoga for Golfers was originally created by Katherine Roberts & is instructed at PM Yoga by Beth McCoun, the only certified Yoga for Golfers instructor in Kentucky (www.yogaforgolfers.com).
Yamuna Body Rolling (Call/Email to schedule) As quoted by Yamuna Zake, “If everyone knew how to care for their body, they could prevent many of the structural problems that age us before our time”. (www.yamunabodyrolling.com ) PM Yoga and Yamuna are perfectly aligned with our wish of keeping our clients pain-free and flexible from head to toe. This is possible with the use of official Yamuna Balls in various sizes for the body and Foot Wakers for a strong foundation and foot fitness. It’s a systematic process of rolling muscles out from their origin, thus releasing joint restriction, elongating muscles, and giving them both optimal strength. The benefits include; improved posture, alignment and flexibility, increased range of motion and circulation, relief for chronic injuries, and better muscle definition while massaging away muscle tiredness and tightness. As presented by Beth McCoun, a certified Yamuna practitioner, every class will spotlight a specific area of the body. Class examples include poses and ball work for the arms, shoulders, back, spine, hips, upper and lower legs, feet or internal organs and digestive tract. Please note that any Yamuna equipment used during class will be provided at no additional charge, however, students can purchase their own Yamuna Body Rolling gear for home use through PM Yoga.
